Paul Sessa, D.V.M.

Dr. Paul Sessa graduated from U.C. Davis in 1984 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced medicine in Escalon before joining the Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Modesto in 1985. In 1990 he transferred to the Associated Veterinary Emergency Services Clinic in Stockton, while developing his Animal Home Health Mobile Care practice. May of 1997 brought the opening of Salida Veterinary Hospital where Dr. Sessa continues to bring his tremendous breadth of experience to his clients and patients.

Dr. Gray is a local, he grew up in Escalon. He received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Humboldt State University. Following graduation from Humboldt State, he went on to the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2009.

Dr. Gray has worked off and on at SVH since 2003, during breaks from college and vet school, and recently returned to work as a part time veterinarian here at Salida Vet. He also works at a clinic in the East Contra Costa Area.

His areas of interest in veterinary medicine are surgery, especially orthopedic, and emergency medicine. When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters as well as his three dachshunds, Darwin, Einstein, and Canaan. Dr Gray enjoys time with his family being outside, visiting Disneyland, and traveling to dance competitions in which his daughters compete.


Cameron Henke DVM

DrHenke&TessieDr. Henke is a born and raised Salida resident. After completing his primary education in Salida and Modesto Dr. Henke attended UC Santa Barbara and earned a Bachelors of Science in Physiology. Dr. Henke attended St. George’s Veterinary University in Grenada and completed intensive clinical rotations at Auburn University in Alabama. Dr. Henke graduated in December 2017 and will complete a post-grad internship at Advanced Veterinary Specialists in Santa Barbara in 2018-2019. Dr. Cameron Henke has worked at Salida Vet as a kennel assistant in high school, a veterinary technician after college, and now as a veterinarian; we truly are proud to call him a lifelong Salida Veterinary Hospital team memb
